Danish windmill company Vestas has received an order for 36 V80-2 MW windmills to be delivered to Scotland.

It is estimated that the order is worth about £50 million. The 72 MW order includes delivery, installation and maintenance of the windmills during a five year period.

The first mills will be shipped in the spring of 2005, and the wind power station is expected to be completed by the autumn of 2006.
