Recent technological advances and discoveries have made it possible to replace the existing fossil fuel based power plant with a new type of electricity generation based on solar power.

| Thermal power plant explained |
|
1) Coal is transported by to the
power plant.
2) The coal is burnt in a high pressure boiler also
known as an "Evaporator". The evaporator turns water into high-pressure
steam.
3) The steam is pumped around the closed system and forced
through a turbine-generator unit.
4) The turbine-generator unit generates
electricity.
5) The high-pressure steam is lead through a condensation
system, which converts the steam back into water. The water cycles
the system continuously.
6) Electricity from the turbine-generator
unit is lead into the national grid.
7) The cooling tower leads
the exhausts away - mainly carbon dioxide, which is a greenhouse gas
causing global warming.
