Carbon absorption

Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere

The planting of trees is widely recognised as an effective and important tool in the fight against global warming.

By planting tens of thousands of trees large quantities of carbon dioxide (CO2) can be removed from the atmosphere throughout the lifetime of the trees.

Some studies suggest that a single tropical tree can absorb as much as 500+ kg of CO2.

While planting of trees alone cannot minimise the impact of global warming, it is a vital step in the right direction and an important part of the overall solution to global warming.
